Now that we are able to confidently grade lumber at the planer mill, we are moving to the sawmill to grade green lumber. Lucidyne is now designing a linear and transverse edger grading system that will be a retrofit for existing edgers. Our goal is to leave everything as-is except for the scanner and optimizer hardware. The expectation is that our new scanner components would replace the scanner in most mills – and in most cases use the existing scanner frame structure. The edger and possibly also the control system would not change. Let us know if you are ready to consider this in your mill!
