Seneca has purchased a new GradeScan with Perceptive Sight for the mill in Noti, Oregon. Seneca’s Eugene mill purchased their GradeScan many years ago, and recently upgraded it to the Perceptive Sight platform. The results were so impressive that the Noti purchase was quickly approved. Seneca is proud of its legacy in Noti, where a sawmill has been running since the 1920’s, and this latest improvement promises to continue that legacy. All new Lucidyne GradeScan’s come standard with the Perceptive Sight Intelligent Grading platform, using deep learning artificial intelligence for unmatched defect detection and grading results. Seneca required a quick turnaround on this system with only 12 weeks from order to startup, and Lucidyne was able to deliver. The system will be installed and started up in December of 2019.
Seneca and Lucidyne have had a long and successful relationship over a wide range of products, and both are proud to continue that history with this new GradeScan system.
